Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Cadet Duo ("we", "us", "our") for use of the Cadet Duo website (https://cadetduo.com) and Android mobile application (together, the "Service"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of the Service

Cadet Duo provides study tools for defence entrance exam preparation, including practice questions, previous-year papers (PYQs), mock tests, flashcards, progress tracking, and AI-assisted explanations. Content is for educational purposes only and does not guarantee exam results.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use the app. The Service is intended for serious exam aspirants and is not designed for children. By using Cadet Duo, you represent that you meet this requirement.

4. Accounts

• You may sign in with email OTP, phone OTP, or Google Sign-In where available
• You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure
• You must provide accurate information and not impersonate others
• You may request account deletion at any time via our account deletion page or by emailing contact@cadetduo.com from your account address

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Share account credentials or sell access to your account
• Scrape, copy, or redistribute our question bank or proprietary content
• Attempt to bypass paywalls, rate limits, or security controls
• Use bots, scripts, or automation to abuse the Service
• Upload malware, spam, or unlawful content through feedback channels
• Reverse engineer the app except where permitted by applicable law
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules or harm other users or our infrastructure.

6. Plans, subscriptions & payments

Cadet Duo offers free and paid tiers. Paid features may include additional practice access, AI credits, paper unlocks, and ad-free experience depending on your plan.

• Prices, billing intervals, and included benefits are shown in-app before purchase
• Payments may be processed by authorized payment providers depending on platform and availability
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date through your payment provider or by contacting contact@cadetduo.com
• Refunds are handled according to the applicable payment provider's and Google Play's policies, and applicable Indian consumer law

We may change pricing or plan features with reasonable notice. Changes apply to new purchases; existing subscriptions are governed by the terms shown at purchase unless otherwise required by law.

7. Free tier, limits & advertising

Free accounts may be subject to daily practice limits, limited AI credits, limited PYQ starts, and display of advertisements. Rewarded ads may grant bonus practice or discounts where offered. Ad availability and limits may change over time.

8. AI-generated content

AI explanations, flashcards, and similar features are generated automatically and may be incomplete or incorrect. They are study aids only, not official syllabus, not exam authority guidance, and not a substitute for qualified instruction.

• Always verify important facts against official sources
• Report problems with AI-generated flashcards using the in-app report option during a flashcard session

• We may use reports and feedback to improve safety and quality, in line with our Privacy Policy

9. Intellectual property

Cadet Duo, its branding, software, UI, and original content are owned by us or our licensors. Exam names (NDA, CDS, AFCAT, etc.) belong to their respective authorities; we are not affiliated with or endorsed by the Union Public Service Commission, Indian Armed Forces, or any government body unless explicitly stated.

We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own exam preparation.

10. Third-party services

The Service uses third-party providers for sign-in, hosting, analytics, advertising, and payment processing. Your use of those services may be subject to their separate terms and privacy policies.

11. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE OPERATION, OR THAT CONTENT IS COMPLETE OR CURRENT.

12. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CADET DUO AND ITS TEAM WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR EXAM OUTCOMES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR INR 1,000, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

13. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. Sections that by nature should survive (including disclaimers, liability limits, and intellectual property) will survive termination.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after the updated effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes may be communicated in-app or by email.

15. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Courts in India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms, subject to mandatory consumer protections that apply to you.
